And good to see you as well. I have been out touch for the past three months. I've been reluctant to post, didn't want to get a dread "-bot" attached to whatever I was "pro-moting" or "de-nouncing".

Too many people shooting first and not reading until later. Oh well, it's a good thing none of this stuff we spout off ever gets stored on Google caches anyway...

did I really need a sarcasm off tag for that???

All I'm saying Jim is that you could have stepped in and set some rules before the debate got out of hand and Freepers started calling other Freepers "Treasonous Liberals" and "Traitors".

A couple of posters called me that directly, at which point I calmly pointed out to them that it was ironic that I had spent 12 months carrying a .9 mil in a combat zone to preserve their right to call me a traitor. (And those two chaps never peeped up again, BTW.)

I even heard that one Freeper called the other side "Kool Aid" drinkers. Outrageous!

Ya, but you defended the use of the term "treasonous," and then spun it. The spinning I don't think convinced anyone, but your defense was a rather convincing act, in and of itself, as it were.

If we nominate Rudy -- might as well concede defeat to Hillary.

Great thread!

EV will not support John Cox, and
JR says Keyes would be nuts to run.

If we nominate anyone but Rudy -- might as well concede defeat to Hillary.

IMO, that's a boatload of manure. The guy is already one of the most well known figures in the country.

You can call it whatever you want, but if you bother reading the polls that are constantly posted here to hype Giuliani's candidacy you'll see that most voters do not know his positions on abortion, homosexual rights or gun control. Do you need me to post the links?

All FR threads should be tempered with SOME humor, of which there has been little of late, but I've given it a couple of shots.....

Noise happens. It's part of the process and we shouldn't fear it or try too hard to suppress it. There are big issues at stake, many near and dear to our hearts and people are going to take passionate stands. It's not everyday that our beloved conservative party decides to pull up stakes and move in a totally opposite direction, especially if that direction leads to abandoning deep seated beliefs.

Hmm, let's see now... When did you post your ridiculous kool-aid drinker thread? Oh, that's right, BEFORE the one you continue to whine about now. That thread was a direct response to the other one. That was made clear time and time ago. Don't start what you aren't willing to finish.
