Just wait until Keyes hops into the race.

I can't wait to see them demand that we all support Keyes because "only a real, true conservative" can win.

I am wondering where the conservative GOP went.

It's still there. Hasn't moved an inch, other than a few sellouts.

I'm looking to attract conservatives who are committed to defending our traditional conservative American values at least to the point listed in my referenced statement. You can defend some or all to whatever degree you can. And you can even disagree to any portion you like, but my own primary interests and commitments most definitely include defending God, family, country, life and liberty, and as I said, I personally will not compromise on those basic fundamental rights.

Any political person who would work for Rooty is by definition an unprincipled hack.

Yep, I am afraid that you are shooting blanks again. Your argument seems to be that nobody but the greedy, gay and Godless would work for Rudy, and therefore they are. That argument just has this certain je ne sais qua quality to it.

I'm sure some liberal hack will enjoy your money. He's got a couple of kids to put through college, I'm sure, or at least a payment to make on the Mercedes.

Quite frankly, I'm amazed God didn't strike you dead when you posted that; that took more unmitigated gall than I've seen in years, given the amount of money you've helped Keyes bilk out of people.

Every time I read that social issues or Terri Schiavo or the electorate moving to the left was the cause of the mid-term defeat I get a bit suspicious.

Every time I read someone say the Republicans under George Bush have been advancing the culture of death, I begin to wonder how they arrived at that conclusion. George Bush and the Republican party fought on behalf of Terri but yet they get blamed for her death.

The Republicans swept themselves into the minority, while the Democrats ran on a "vote for us and we'll tell you what we'll do" agenda.

That's why I keep asking EV. I want a reference point when all of a sudden, out of the blue, Keyes emerges to save the country, the planet, the universe(!), as if it hadn't been completely $taged for Mo Money.

>>>>>If that's meant as an insult....you've gone too far. A lot of us were foolish enough to vote for Carter... ..and regret it bitterly!

LOL

My purpose was to clear the air after this remark, which I took exception to:

"Hollering insults at freepers and calling Guiliani names starts reminding me of the Reagan/Ford arguments, and that is how we wound up with Carter!"

If you have a problem with that. Don't know what to tell you.

Because it suggests that someone can get what they want on this forum with money, which, IMO, is an insult to our host.

What it suggests is that people who are tired of being called traitors and pro-abortion and anti-gun in the face of all known facts will leave.

Only a political whore, who exists on other people's money, would see it any other way.

Keyes is not going to enter the race. Twice is enough. Not to mention the Illinois fiasco.

Guliani Leads Among White Evangelicals

"In the Republican race, former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, who recently made clear his intentions to seek the presidency, has expanded his lead over Sen. John McCain of Arizona. Giuliani holds a 2 to 1 advantage over McCain among Republicans, according to the poll, more than tripling his margin of a month ago.

The principal reason was a shift among white evangelical Protestants, who now clearly favor Giuliani over McCain. Giuliani among this group of Americans despite his support of abortion rights and gay rights, two issues of great importance to religious conservatives. McCain opposes abortion rights.

Since WHEN are you Jim's mouthpiece? Has he authorized you to talk for him? Are you claiming that because the Daily Dose is on FR, that Jim has somehow compromised his principles?

If that is so, them that is a very strange happenstance and I'm sure that ALL of FR are going to be quite interested in this "factoid".

"If they (notice I didn't say you, because I'm being nice) succeed you can expect the same results at the voting booth."

Well that's good because I am a 'fire-eating' conservative, but a pragmatic one with a keen survival instinct.

Remember the joke when Ah-nold ran first: "Arnold to CA GOP: 'Come wit me if you vant to live!'"

Its a similar situation. You don't see that the iceberg we hit in 2006 is just a prelude to THE BIG ONE floating out there in the darkness....and she has vampire teeth out for your blood and mine.

All I am saying to the captain around here is:"Skip, time for a little course correction. Skip?"

P.S. I will respond to the Whitman reference with the same statement I have given since 1990, when she almost upset Bill Bradley: "I would go out on a date with her in a heartbeat - but I'd never vote for her for national office."
