I don't know Phantom Lord personally; he and I have exchanged posts (and perhaps an occaisonal flame) over the years, but I'd be really shocked if he turned out to be a Massachusetts cop.
Oh well, I guess this means I can't dis the Boston Globe; I may have to rely on them if the story ever becomes an issue for me.
If I do have to sue, it will be interesting to see who gets left holding the bag.

Can an entity that is known only as a pseudonym on a blog (or non-blog if you prefer) even suffer libel in the legal sense? If so, that opens the door to suits between Freepers too. I'm not sure you want to be the one who first opens that door.
