You don't take this vehicle into combat you stand off and let the 120mm mortar do the talking. You decide, would you rather shoot at someone with an M2 or would you rather stand off and kill him from miles away.

Your words to try and taunt me were: "Blah, blah, blah!"

It all depends on the mission. Most combat in the Infantry is done on the ground without any armor except for the new body armor. As I understand it this vehicle is for the read to transport the 120 mm mtr and not to make frontal assaults on enemy position like a tank or a Bradley.

So I guess you know all about going in to combat.

Simply being "in theatre" is going into combat!
You decide, would you rather shoot at someone with an M2 or would you rather stand off and kill him from miles away.
Oh, to be sure, I'd rather do the mile away route, but it doesn't always happen that way, does it? Sometimes even mortar teams take direct fire and have to defend themselves.
Besides, getting there safely to fire those rounds is where I believe the vehicle would serve our troops better. Don't you?

Taunt you? Only in your mind. Your words were irrelevant to the question.
It all depends on the mission.
And you're still avoiding the question by bringing up this point.
As I understand it this vehicle is for the read to transport the 120 mm mtr...
The object is to get to the position to be able to set up and fire the mortar. If you want to ride in that kiddy car then you ride it.
...and not to make frontal assaults on enemy position like a tank or a Bradley.
It seems that you believe getting there is not a hazard deserving of protection. IEDS, snipers...none of these things could happen getting to the firing position? That piece of junk isn't going to protect anyone.
So I guess you know all about going in to combat.
I don't think anyone knows all about going into combat. Or are you saying that you do?

You put armor on the less rounds you have available.

You also sacrifice speed and maneuverability.

You also sacrifice speed and maneuverability.
Compensate with more HP and better suspension/steering.
Easy to overcome and not sacrifice anything.
We have off-road vehicles capable of amazing speed and maneuverability, as well as durability.

"Taunt you? Only in your mind. Your words were irrelevant to the question."

Since it is evident that you do not know what you are talking about I see no reason to take this further. Have a good day!

Whatever. That you wouldn't answer the simple question I asked speaks volumes.
