It is one thing to say you are pro 2nd amendment and for/recognize the individual's right to firearms. It is another to be pro 2nd Amendment. Hunter seems to imply that he is pro 2nd, but he states "to be secure in our homes." and that concerns me. Does that mean that we can't carry concealed outside our home, etc.? Where does he stand on licensing, waiting periods, purchasing limits, evil guns in HR 1022, etc.? These are things that need to be asked of all the candidates and then hammer them if they don't answer or don't answer correctly.

If your concern is strickly over the phrase "to be secure in our homes"...

I would take him literally on that...It doesn't bother me...

What you should do is ask the question outright...

Does he support the right to keep and bear arms anywhere and anytime a law-abiding citizen can carry one?

And let him take the answer to where it needs to go...

Obviously you want to know if he supports states issuing concealed carry permits...

I bet we can find where he stands on that issue...

I would like to know as well...

Good points, and I don't have Hunter's details where he stands on the points you bring up. That said, I was drawing the contrast between DH and the 3 RINO's Mitt, Rudy and McCain
