You also have stooges that want the U.S. to fail in the mid east.

These stooges are all over the place at the O-5 and above level. I am an O-4 who joined the navy initially as an enlisted man when Reagan was president (Because of Reagan I joined and I even named one of my boys "Reagan"). I cannot begin to tell you how things have changed since 1987. 8 years of Clinton helped shape and promote an officer corps that is soooo in touch with their feelings, but doesn't know much about fighting. While the numbers of active duty soldiers and sailors have greatly declined over the years I bet the number of active duty lawyers has increased exponentially.
