Good point, Registered. I'm not even asking for a true "red" conservative at all . . . a "70% red" would do just fine for most of us.

What an absolutely stunning piece of analysis, AC. There aren't enough superlatives to do it justice. Well done. Wow, trisham -- thank you kindly. You should be my PR representative! LOL.

I have seen lots of fights and disagreements on FR the last 7 years. I have never noticed such a divide before this last year though. If this is an indication of what is going on with all conservatives, the GPO is in big trouble IMO.The Terry Schaivo threads were pretty brutal, but if you want to see fur fly, try the religion threads, any day.
American Conservatives have no leader right now.
We went through that in Canada, when the right was split, and the liberals won election after election. 12 Years. That was after 8 years of conservative government, one that most Canadians felt was corrupt.
That's 20 years.
20!
Can you imagine what we Canadians have lost under 20 years of socialist and corrupt government? Not just the money. We had a massive brain drain in the '90's, we lack any semblance of a justice system, and we have the right to pay $20k a year extra in taxes for the right to line up for 2-4 months to see a specialist, or get a MRI.
Imagine your next 20 years, and don't let what happened to us, happen to you.

Good post, Rudder -- and good luck this campaign season!
The major issues of the moment are to defeat the dems and win big with a successful candidate who will vigorously prosecute the WOT.
I'd be curious to know exactly what anyone means by the term "vigorously prosecute the WOT."

Rudy Giuliani may only be 20% conservative, but thats better than Hillary/Obama/Stalin/Pol Pot/etc. At least this argument is based on an honest assessment of Mr. Giulianis political philosophy, but this is no way to win elections.Actually Rudy is about 50 or even 60% conservative.
Your assesment of 20% isn't "honest".

Probably the best written vanity of the past year. You are charitable to the arguements on the otherside without drastically mistating them just to have a straw-man and your comments are sincere and reasoned. A heartfelt thanks for your accolades, KC.

Produced and directed by the Hillary Clinton war room. LOL. If you really knew me, you'd understand how comical that statement is.

Thank you, George!
I'm most impressed by your comment that this thread reminds you of pre-1998 FR. That means a lot to me, since it means I knew I found a good place when I signed up in 2000.

In fact, NYC is much less visibly hispanic than it was 30 years ago. Right -- and it's much more Islamic, too. Does that give you any comfort?

We may not agree on a lot of things, but you're a solid citizen here on FR.

Thanks so much for the loud praise, ZULU!
Sadly, due to the diffusion of liberal New Yorkers into the Garden State, and in some cases, even PA, America now begins at the Delaware River.
It's funny you should mention that. The Pennsylvania tourist bureau had an ad campaign about 10-15 years ago, in which their official slogan was: "Pennsylvania -- America Starts Here!"
I always thought that was a creative play on words -- for the reasons you mentioned, plus Philadelphia's place as America's birthplace.
