During that time, even the regular season was awesome.
Bird, Magic, Sir Charles, Ewing, I. Thomas, Hakeem the Dream w/ Sampson, Drexler, etc..
There wasn't a week that went by that there wasn't an awesome matchup happening somewhere.
It was a great time to be a hoop fan.

DJ was a total pro -- cool under fire, consummate team player when it was still a team game. Bird often said he was the finest he played with. RIP, Dennis Johnson. So sad to have to type that.
