I believe I can ask people not to smoke around me.

Aside from the somewhat bizarre association you've made that breast cancer and smoking might have some relationship... you're perfectly welcome to ask people not to smoke around you. Sometimes.

What you're *not* welcome to do is to insist that people not smoke in places where you are not. You're also not welcome to push this little smoke-free bubble you live in around everywhere and inflict your smokelessness on others just for the fun of it.

You also have a completely free choice not to go places where people might be smoking.

See #27.

I have been a staunch smokers' rights advocate forever on FR. You have not read my posts.

I have stood fast, that as long as the smoke doesn't interfere with me or mine...more power to ya...smoke away.

I don't want government to interfere.

If drinkers don't drive...leave 'em alone.

Etc., etc.

You obviously want to flame without knowing the history of the poster.
