Is she equally offended when asked to explain gays and abortion issues that are plastered on TV and in movies?

Just explain that it is a travesty of life, like hurricanes or earthquakes.
Fortunately medical science has made great strides in this regard, and horrible, life crippling, birth or congenital defects of this nature can be remedied.

Dear Mz. Ulmer:
Your 11 yr. old son needs to speak to his father. If his father is not involved in his young life, or if his "father" is just a donor, then you must assume all blame for your son's confusion and remedy it. Making idiot legislation to spread the blame is not going to work. For your "everybody does it, but it is wrong" efforts, your son is now a laughingstock at his middle school. That poor kid.
