Hey, take a look at his/her (I'm unsure on this point...with liberals it's sometimes hard to tell) "about" page here on FR. It should explain everything.
I was there. See my post #440. As you say, it explains most everything.

Bit obscure for me, who is not well-versed on the theological differences of various branches of protestanism.
The link from his page that caught my eye as a potential RCC slam was:
"CATHOLIC PRIEST ADMITS J*SUS WAS A BIBLICAL FUNDAMENTALIST!!!!! (My title, obviously)"
Even a good Jewish boy like me could see the animus there.

Ron Paul for President! (Ping to current GRPPL members) Yes, we'd get a month a libertarianism before sharia law takes effect.
To: OrthodoxPresbyterian
Is this the same Ron Paul who pretends to be a Republican to get an (R) behind his name and campaign dollars. A man of character would run on his real party ticket - the Libertarian. Oh he did that already. 1988. Got less than 1% of the vote, didn't he?
Do you really want someone as president who goes against his "core principles" party just to get elected?

"Ron Paul voted for a Resolution advising the President to go after whomever was responsible for 9-11"
Why didn't Ron Paul call for a declaration of war against those responsible for 9/11 if he didn't know at that point (LOL...yeah, right...even I knew and I wasn't in Congress!) that al Qaida (which was openly living in Afghanistan) was behind it?

"So long as training camps operate,
so long as nations harbor terrorists, freedom is at risk and America and our allies must not, and will not, allow it." -- President George W. Bush, State of the Union, January 29, 2002.
Parse it any way you want, but the fact remains that the Iraqi Government is willfully and knowingly harboring a Convicted Anti-American Terrorist -- as a member of their Ruling Government!
They are therefore in flagrant violation of stated United States foreign policy, and are utterly unworthy of Military and Financial support.
Ron Paul seeks to END Military and Financial support to this Government which is willfully and knowingly harboring a Convicted Anti-American Terrorist. Ron Paul is, thus, the only TRULY 100% Anti-Terrorist Republican Candidate.

Yeah. Like the part where he compares Calvin to Luther:" Calvin spoke to the learned at all times, even when preaching before multitudes. His manner is classical; he reasons on system; he has little humour; instead of striking with a cudgel he uses the weapons of a deadly logic and persuades by a teacher's authority, not by a demagogue's calling of names." If you read the paragraph before this, the demagogue he's referring to is Luther.Actually, that quote is from the Catholic Encyclopedia.
I placed it there because I liked the fact that it demonstrated how even Calvin's enemies hold him in respectful regard. It's hardly my fault if the Roman Catholics abuse Luther with disrespect; I actually think Luther was a very good theologian, if not as systematic as Calvin... but I can hardly control what nasty things the Roman Catholics say about him, can I?! Sheesh!!

No, it doesn't. But as a mathematician, I'm not impressed by Mediocre Doctors.I'm not aware of any problems Paul had during his medical career. From what I've read, Paul delivered thousands of babies in his district and is though of very highly there. Is there some sort of scandal from then I haven't heard about?

Now that I think of it, you might want to check out the Ron Paul quote I have on my freeper home page. It sums up quite well how I can comfortably consider myself socially conservative and libertarian at the same time.

Put me on the list. Doesn't matter what 'party' Dr. Paul is aligned under at any given time. He is one of the few conservatives in Congress at this time.

I'm one of the few politically libertarian people I know who... was also with Operation Rescue.
Diamond, I believe, is another.
(He's also a member of the newly-formed Great Ron Paul Ping List)

Is there some sort of scandal from then I haven't heard about?Yes, he has a zero percent success rate at performing abortions. A complete flop in that area of medical practice.

Gentlemen, counting sign-ups on the Public Forum and by FReepMail, we have now
doubled the membership of the Great Ron Paul Ping List from it's initial opening on the FR Religion Forum.
In one day.
Not so lonely, gentlemen. Not so lonely anymore.
Best, OP
