Most Republicans don't support someone with liberal views on abortion gay marriage like Giuliani. And the polls also showed that a disturbing amount of Republicans don't even know of Giuliani's views on abortion and gay marriage. We've got a lot of work to do to educate them.

How many Republicans will not vote for Giuliani because he is opposed to gay marriage? 2? 3?

Giuliani is "opposed to gay marriage" in exactly the same sense as Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and that bunch are "opposed to gay marriage." Likewise, Giuliani is "against abortion" in exactly the same way that crew is "against abortion." You know: "Don't like abortion - Don't have one!"

I'd rather someone who supports gay marriage for President, than a liar for President. And you, sir, are a liar.

Giuliani has never supported gay marriage.

Giuliani is FOR gay marriage.

Tell me, friend, why do you and other Rudy-haters feel the need to lie about his positions? Are you afraid that you can't beat them if you stick to positions he has actually taken?

The biggest red flag for Giuliani has to be that only 42 percent of Republicans surveyed correctly identified him as pro-choice. Twenty-one percent of Republican voters have it wrong and think Giuliani is pro-life, and another 36 percent of Republicans don't have a clue what his position on abortion. In other words, nearly six out of 10 registered Republican voters have yet to learn something about Giuliani which, we can infer from the first question on abortion, will make close to half of them either "somewhat" less likely or "a lot" less likely to vote for him. There's no doubt the same holds true of his position on civil unions for gays, and the Second Amendment as well.
Time to get up on the rooftops and start shouting.

And for the 100th time, Giuliani opposed the Federal Marriage Amendment - co-authored by Judge Robert Bork - which would have ensured that states could ban gay marriage at the state level without federal or judicial interference.

What have "pro-life" politicians done to criminalize abortion?

Considering Ronald Reagan appointed 2 pro-Roe justices, doesn't seem to hold much water.

Rudy put an end to John Gotti's reign of terror and helped crush La Cosa Nostra. He took a city on the brink of bankruptsy and anarchy and made it a good place to live. And when his friends, neighbors, and constituants were attacked, he risked his own life on their behalf.

Why do you insist on denying this or dismissing it as insignificant?

As was the case during the Cali recall election, the only defense that will be offered for the bot approved candidate will be electability and the fearful prospect of a Hitlerly nomination.

Rudy is for gay marriage. He just doesn't call it that.

He prefers to use the euphemism "civil unions." He thinks people are too stupid to see through the word games.

"..Nevertheless, Giuliani beats Arizona Sen. John McCain handily in a head to head match-up, 56 to 31. Twenty-four percent of Republicans say they would "definitely vote for" Rudy, 56 percent say they "might vote for" him, and 17 percent say they would "under no circumstances" vote for Giuliani. McCain's numbers are slightly worse: 13 percent "definitely vote for," 54 percent "might vote for," and 25 percent "under no circumstances" vote for..."
