I don't get how Romney pwned the heckler. All Romney did was praise religious diversity and imply that he himself is a man of faith.

I don't get how Romney [o]wned the heckler.

 It seems to me that anytime you get a standing ovation to a response from any heckler about any subject,  you own them.

Really the heckler made an ass of himself. All things considered he was probably an ass before he went in there, and merely publicly exposed himself as one when he opened his ignorant mouth.
