Its not a rumor, you can go visit most of the temple stuff that has been built. However the Al Asque mosque is not in a postion that would interfere with the placement of a new temple as it is tucked away over in the corner.

According to scripture, all that is needed to place the tabernacle is to build an altar and place a tent. The origonal temple was portable. While the temple may indeed be rebuilt, it is not necessary to fufill prophetic scripture. What is necessary is that a corner stone be placed and the altar built.

That could be done in one day.
