I never watch one minute of any TV, film or music awards shows.

They serve no other purpose than for the participants to flaunt their arrogant "importance".

I have better things to do.
___________

LOL. But not that much better, eh? You're here like the rest of us, reading and commenting on them.

Can you imagine if they were lesbians.

And how do you know they're not?? Could be switch hitters.

Going to be funny when Bush is out of office and these people are SOL and awards start going toward talent.

Carrie underwood; (one of my dream girls); the 'ditsy chicks' go live in yankee land in NYC or LA for all I care!

Gonna be funny when it's our turn to chastise them, Bush isn't around, and we can call them on the carpet for all their hypocricy!

Underwood is the only singer on Idol I have ever liked. She has some pipes!

...all of the other nominees for album of the year, record of the year, song of the year, country album and country duo or group performance never had a chance. And that includes artists of the caliber of Alan Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Little Big Town, Mary J. Blige, Josh Turner, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Willie Nelson, Gnarls Barkley, Rascal Flatts, the Wreckers and many others.

I wouldn't put it past the powers-that-be in the Grammys to have previously indicated to that list of nominees that the Dipsy-Sheiks would be getting those awards as a political statement against Bush and the anti-Chicks bloggers all over the internet. I firmly believe that those people that were passed over in favor of the chicks were complicit in the "awarding" of those awards to the Chicks.

The entertainment industry lives and breathes in the leftist soupbowl of Hollyweird and the media; they are uneducated, ignorant, sheeple - drones of the left. Some figure on the left says jump and the vast majority do, like lemmings.

Now if we could only plant a mole in that environment and have them tell everyone to jump off a cliff.

How about something that's fresh and revolutionary in music?

A lot of music goes in waves - and artists from a period can sound the same. I'd never heard of Carrie Underwood, though I listed to country stations often. When I first heard "Jesus take the wheel" without introduction, I thought - They finally got a good song for that (former Nashville Star winner) Erica Jo!

Chet Flippo is a pretty big deal in Nashville for years now. Seeing him throw them under the bus is sweet.

The fact that they most likely did not in this case does not reflect well on Grammy voters or the voting process itself.

Libs destroy everything they touch.

Apprantly last night Rascall Flatts ripped them pretty good in stage..

From the Baltimore Sun

Three songs into their elaborately staged concert at 1st Mariner Arena Thursday night, members of the country-pop super-trio, Rascal Flatts, took nasty swipes at that other country-pop mega-threesome: the Dixie Chicks, who had swept the Grammys with five wins the previous week.
Rascal Flatts, nominated for What Hurts the Most, went home empty-handed, and the guys seemed sore about it.

Lead singer Gary LeVox cattily sang the title of the Chicks' hit "Not Ready to Make Nice" then made a disgusted face.

"The difference is that we love country music," he said, and the packed house roared.

"How many people were here the last time they were here?" asked bassist Jay DeMarcus. "Oh, the both of you."

Fine! Rascal Flatts and Alan Jackson might be the exceptions.

Yeah, you may be right..

The Red Hot Chili Peppers' Stadium Arcadium was nominated for album of the year. The band's drummer, Chad Smith, who also played on the Chicks' winning album, said frankly, "I think the Academy was making a bit of a statement by giving them everything. I'm happy they won."
