Did anybody notice she also said she had convinced Barack to stop smoking because cigarettes wouldn't be appropriate in the White House? And the two kids are looking forward to getting a dog when they get in the White House? Talk about counting your chickens.
This woman didn't just look mad, she is a really peculiar looking individual. And she has a motor mouth. I think she's an asset to Obama the way Teresa was an asset to John Kerry. While she's suggesting that there are roving bands of white racists with sniper rifles ready to pop off black presidential candidates, her husband is claiming he wants to bring America together and to have a new kind of political dialog. Maybe she's trying to establish his bona fides with black voters. In order to be accepted as being black enough to attract them, she reasons, you have to take potshots at whites.
Imagine this pair in the White House. I don't think the Sixty Minutes interview will help this guy get there. He'd better deep six his wife.

I suspect the Dem candidate, whomever she is, will be the "victim" of a very well-publicized bomb scare. An assassination attempt is hard to pull off, but it would take nothing at all to throw a bunch of loose wires in a box someplace.

By far, the robberies and shootings at gas stations I witness on local news reports are black guys shooting up and robbing the gas station.

I am no longer going to try to reason with the ugly, angry people on this thread. LOL! I have never shot anyone. Neither have I gone on TV and accused people of being racist. But I am ugly and angry?

. . .and his chances are bout the same; should he go to gas station and get shot; it would be as likely, that he would be so victimized, by a black man, with a gun. . .
We are already getting used to pain; but it is clear; there are going to excruciating times ahead. . .

It has been well-known that Alma Powell was dead-set against Colin running for President for fear of his life.It is well known; that 'being' President; regardless of ones's color. . .is a 'life-threatening' position. . .we know that. Throwing out that Obama could be shot going to a gas station; is establishing first, that he is a 'walking' victim.
That is a race card; if even a small one. . .it was a stupid comment. . .IMHO.
That said; I doubt she meant it to be; just shows she carries a 'small chip' on her shoulder perhaps; unknowingly. . .unwittingly; it's an attitude. . .just there; naturally. . .
Not to say she is wrong - he could be a victim - but, rather her assuming; because of his skin color. . .that she is right. . .

Okay, I'm an idiot. Seeing and hearing it, she was definitely playing the race card.

Cute! You may have missed my point, which is that Obsama isn't running around in a hoodie and driving a Pinto hatchback. Also, if he ever did get shot at a gas station, odds are extremely high that a black man would be the shooter. I just get really upset when a "strong black woman" type is sitting next to a half white man and absolutely refuses to acknowledge that part of him.
What are they going to do with Obsama's lily white mother? Hide her in the attic?

It seemed clearly implied to me. As soon as the words came out of her mouth, I knew her husband's nut-job supporters would think "white gun nut Republican". If any of you didn't have that same thought when you saw and heard it, you are not being honest with yourselves.

Did she say he might get shot by a white guy??? NO.
No, she implied it because it would have made no sense for her otherwise to have mentioned her hubby's putative blackness. She was stating that it was because he was black that he could be shot: black = shot; not shot = not black.

Think the error here; is basic her presumption of probability of Obama's being a victim. . .not because he is 'in the wrong place'; but by his having the 'wrong' skin color. . .
Obama himself, bumps the edges here with his 'assumptions of race' when he offered last week; a racist, color logic: the more African-American you look; the more you are treated like one. . .while not being specific as to whom belonged, the racist response.
Was Obama including himself; as a light-skinned, but-not-white-skinned observer; or was he excluding himself from his own observations and conclusion; and just ascribing his perceived 'racism' to non-black observers.
These to me are kind of strange comments from someone; who claims a 'neutral eye'. . .intends to represent a united America; a less divisive America; but whose perspective, nonetheless; is defined, by gradations of color - and with color-coordinated, corresponding assumptions.
I think this is a man; who in truth; is still, not on the best terms with himself. His personal discomfort is not just with the appearance of his ears. . .or with his middle name. . .

Did anyone catch his reaction when she mentions the gas station analogy? I think politicians are suppose to smile when they are upset.
To: ishabibble
I didn't miss your point at all, and fully agree. BTW, Obsama, I love it!

Senator Obama has been so busy shooting himslef in the foot with his stupid remarks that nobody else has had a chance to shoot him.
It's probably time for him to reload so he can shoot himslef in the other foot.
