Did you ever watch Schoolhouse Rocks? "I'm just a bill on Capitol Hill"? Our laws are not set in stone and I am trying to fix that law. No, I'm not a lawmaker, so I can't personally change the law, but I can protest a law and work with other like-minded individuals within the system to have my elected officials change the law. This law can be changed and I'll continue to work for it to be changed and that does not rule out working to increase awareness of alternatives to abortion at the same time. I can multi-task. I'm not going to stick my head in the sand and say outlawing abortion is too hard so I'm not going to even focus on it.
Having said that, my objections to Guiliani as a candidate go far far beyond the abortion issue. I'm tired of being labeled as a 'one issue' voter when I voice my opinions about Guiliani's views. I feel like we are being manipulated to look like one issue loons sometimes. This is just one issue and there are so many more issues where Guiliani and the average conservative voter part ways.
There are enough issues in my own state that need to be addressed as these laws (or lack of same) affect my personal life. Even when there are laws, there are judges that have their heads up their rears and that is at the city and county level. We have a moron for a sheriff and a potential same sex marriage governess that takes credit for a medical school being built downtown that was in the works when she was the AG and allowing pedophiles to return to medicine.
