Duncan Hunter is not exactly a household name.
If I don't know who he is or what he's done, then you have really tough sledding getting the average voter to know who he is and what he's done.
Doesn't sound like a feasible plan for winning in 2008 to go with an unknown.
Unless people are too cowardly for a fight, as many who post here seem to be, it might be worth doing our best to get him elected.
So, get to know him. Do some research. I had heard of him but wanted to know more, so I did some digging. I really liked what I learned, he is very Reagan like.
How many people outside of Arkansas knew who Bill Clinton was back in February of '90?
Not too many.
Feb. of '90 had the dems ready to concede the WH because Bush Sr. had such high approval numbers! Many prominent dem's choose not to run for fear of being labeled a loser!
With todays technology it is easier now than ever to get the message out and to spread the word.
The way Hunter becomes a household word is for people to talk to others about him. So start talking, I am.

He's not an unknown to most political savvy conservatives. I'm surprised someone who posts to FR knows so little about Duncan Hunter. Perhaps you should educate yourself about him before you say he has no chance. Of course, perhaps you are right, if there are many more like you out there, in particular if they claim to be Republicans, then Hunter probably doesn't stand much of a chance due to the ignorance of the voting public.
Neither was William Jefferson Clinton at this time in 1991.
