With the right candidate I honestly don't think that blackness or femaleness is the automatic hindrance it once was. Sure there are a few for whom it will matter, but few enough I think that they'll be cancelled out by the few that vote *because* of that trait.

And those people are not only the members of that minority or gender. I saw Kiefer Sutherland on TV go on for several sentences about how proud he was to have had the first American Black President on his show. He is NOT alone. People are READY; people are SUPERFICIAL.
