If Obama was white, he wouldn't even be considered as a serious candidate. He is 2008's token Dem black candidate replacing Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. One out of every three Dem voters is either black or Hispanic. They [the Dems] need a black candidate to energize their most loyal constituency.
