Rep. Rohrabacher: Impeach Bush If Border Agents Killed
Newsmax ^ | February 9, 2007

Weeks after accusing President Bush of "shameful" behavior over the imprisonment of two Border Patrol agents who shot an unarmed suspected drug smuggler along the U.S.-Mexico border, a federal lawmaker turned up the heat further, suggesting the president should be impeached if the two men are killed in prison.

Speaking after the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed that agent Ignacio Ramos was assaulted by inmates in his Mississippi prison at the weekend, California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher had a warning for the White House.

"I tell you, Mr. President, if these men - especially after this assault - are murdered in prison, or if one of them lose their lives, there's going to be some sort of impeachment talk in Capitol Hill," he said during a press conference in Washington, D.C.

"The president of the United States talks a lot about his Christian charity, and his religious beliefs," Rohrabacher said. "He now is showing a mean-spirited side to him, an arrogance, in which he will turn his back, even after one of these officers in prison has been brutally assaulted."

Thank you Wolfstar, I couldn't agree with you more. I am so tired of Bash Bush for anything from this crowd and their arrogance and superiority talk to others on conservative issues.

Well said and worth repeating;

You effin "true" conservatives make me gag. There's nothing conservative about your type. And I'm sick to death at the way you all arrogate to yourselves the sole right to define who is and is not a conservative and Republican. I'm a lifelong Republican who can't stomach what I see on threads like this on.

These threads remind me of the DU posts we used to laugh at watching the Dem self-destruct a few years ago.

These self-appointed judges of who is or isn't a REAL conservative are proving themselves to be leaders of an ever shrinking club of malcontents.

Pretty clear to most everyone, other than the party-above-principle Big Tent GOP RINOs.

Yes, conservative political puritans who help elect Democrats should lecture us all on their losing principles.

Idiots.

Plenty of anti-party-above-principle voters didn't show up at the polls this past November.

We lost 25 good conservative seats in the House and four good conservative seats in the Senate.

WOW there are some wild rhetoric being thrown around. Never elect a Skull & Bones elitist??? Give me a break.
Dana Rohrabacher's rhetoric is just as bad. How about waiting for a full review before pardoning. I know very little about the actual evidence presented in the trial and I suspect that Dana Rohrabacher does not know nearly enough either.

No, I think you're wrong, because you haven't read the Constitution or are incapable of understanding the words.

The grounds for impeachment are set out.

Of course, I could be wrong, so I'll invite you to educate me.

Now, using the words of the Constitution, explain to this conservative forum why the impeachment of George W Bush is authorized.

You seem quite convinced, so I'm sure you'll explain.

Rohrbacher must have been drunk to utter those iresponsible sentiments with the "i" word.

Tell me how allowing the justice system to work its course is a "high crime and misdemeanor"

"...his ratings will collapse to single digits."

OMG, what will that do to his reelection chances? Oh, wait...

President Bush does not care about approval ratings. That was X42.

For those of you so inclined to solely blame President Bush, what are other of our so-called lawmakers really doing about the border? Impeachment? Gimme a break!

Wrong. When elected US officials care more about illegal aliens than the citizens they have sworn to protect, it is time for impeachment. Sorry.

So Bush is more interested in protecting illegals than Americans. Right.

These are precisely the kind of wild and mindless accusations that totally discredit your side.

What's really amazing is that I am totally for building a wall across the border, but still find myself alienated by the irrational border security fanatics who populate these threads.

President Bush is a very, very stubborn person.

Threatening him with impeachment will only stiffen his spine.

I seriously doubt he cares what Rep. Rohrabacher or anybody else has to say about this case.

President Bush is totally committed to creating a North American Community. An open Southern border is essential for this plan. Anyone getting in his way will be ignored or pushed to the side.

At this point the general public does not know the whole story behind the Border Guards and should be cautious in throwing around the idea of impeachment or pardons.

I guess you like to be addressed as lord and master as well don't you??
