While I certainly agree with all of the rightful scepticism about Ms. Goodman's unibomber-like views, I'm waiting for comments on her outrageous comparison of those who doubt with holocaust-deniers.
Since Ellen's criteria of being on par with a Holocaust denier includes denying the present there are quite a few on her 'team' (liberals) who more than qualify.
Liberals who pretend that they didn't for the war.
Bill Clinton, who denies oral sex is sex
John Kerry, who denies he insulted the military.
Nancy Pelosi, who denies she isn't exhorbitant.
John Edwards ,who denies he's filthy rich.
Dan Rather, who denies he knew the document was fake
Democrats who deny Bush won the election.
According to Ellen, Holocaust deniers all.
You are right, of course. It is a mind numbingly insulting comment. However, my personal goal is to ask the same basic and simple question to every person who argues that man is causing the problem: How did you rule out the Sun as a cause?
I know there are some arguments about temperature increases not occurring in the Stratosphere but these seem to be highly debatable since our database on these measures is very limited. Observations of the polar ice-caps on mars however while lacking in precision do represent a pretty good marker of solar activity and I understand that those polar ice caps are visibly retreating.
If this line of reasoning does not comport to known scientific findings please let me know.
It's a talking point. She's not the first one to say it by a long shot. Her column is full of trendy, liberal know it all buzzwords. The holocaust denial bit is one of them. She is a pig, has been one forever.
