Of course they won't.

But this isn't the first success, and others have been followed by even mor violence.

President Bush often does mention these in his speeches, only they don't get the interests as it is perceived as the same old stuff.

I'll tell you the truth. I remember the days of coverage of the VN war. Day after day we had reports that sounded pretty much like this. Body counts, regional VC leaders killed, etc etc. Nothing ever changed on the ground though, as a result of all these minor victories, so eventually they came to mean nothing.

If, in a couple months, the incidence of IED attacks drops by two thirds or three quarters, if we stop losing helicopters, if we stop hearing about finding the bodies of 47 Iraqi police recruits killed execution style and lying in a ditch somewhere, then that will be serious news.
