I sent a note to the principal hoping the story was in error, and that such a thing did not happen on a public sidewalk. I continued that if the arrest was indeed made from the public sidewalk, the principal needed to reimburse the tax payers for the cost of the private patio, which all had thought was a sidewalk. Incidentally, the principle wrote back and asked me to forward her a copy of the article from which I had gathered my info. Hmmm . . .
