Patrich said that his research indicates that the rock over which the Dome of the Rock was built in the 7th century CE is actually outside the confines of the Temple.
An interesting development indeed. This means that the Temple could be rebuilt without damaging the Dome of the Rock. Hal Lindsey must be turning handstands. How long before someone comes up with the brilliant idea, in the interest of "peace" and "sharing", that the moslems allow the Jews to rebuild their Temple NEXT to the Dome of the Rock?? That way, they could SHARE the temple Mount, and learn to live in peace and harmony. I can just see how THAT suggestion would go over within the Islamic world.
Cooking the microwave popcorn now, it will be interesting to see how this all develops...
