Pelosi reportedly had requested that there be a bowl of M&Ms provided (with the red ones removed) each time she stepped onto 'Pelosi One' and also insisted that her champagne be chilled to exactly 42 degrees.

If the Republicans don't go nuts with this 'Pelosi One' fiasco, they are cowardly idiots.
This story alone could win them back the House in '08. No joke.
Regular people shake their heads and grimace in disgust and contempt at this stuff.

Maybe they screwed up giving Hastert a plane. Since he didn't live so far away, they were able to let him use a small plane that wasn't in big demand and didn't cost too much.

Now Pelosi wants a plane that can go cross-country, and there are only a few of those stationed at Andrews, and they are in high demand. They would take over a hundred people, and cost a lot of money.

The Government has a 2.9 trillion dollar budget. Why doesn't the house of representatives simply vote into the defense budget the purchase of a plane for the House Speaker to use, and then request a security detail for the trips?

I'm guessing they don't want to take the heat for the expense.

The plane she wants would cost the Taxpayers 10,000 a trip for her and her entourage.

What I don't understand is these elected offical, Dems & Repub., are sent, via the voting public, to Washington to perform tasks that are for the good of the USA.

It just seems that once they get there, the voters and the USA are a secondary concern. The first is to be treated as little GODS, they expect the best of everything with little regard for accountability.

When they feel the least bit slighted, they will decide amongst themselves how to get whatever they want, even enacting a law that applies only to them.

Maybe some day, I would expect long after I'm gone, the voters will wake up and stop electing whoever is running under a certain party name.

Maybe some day, I would expect long after I'm gone, there will be term limits so that nobody will have a lifetime to figure out how to cheat and steal for 30 years.

Oh well I can dream can't I.

Since when is she worried about security? Let her negotiate on the tarmac with those who might do her harm. Oh that's right. This is different. This is HER security.

Nancy, what are you talking about? Don't you realize how much poisonous fuel the C-20 will spew over the ozone layer while you make your trips to Iran, France, Syria and North Korea? I'm sure all the "scientists" your good buddy Albert always uses would be appalled at your hypocrisy. My God, woman haven't you heard about Global Warming. Think of all your grandchildren you are protecting.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PENTEGON?

They are missing out on a golden opportunity!

Say, "Why yes, Speaker Pelosi, we would be happy to provide you with a bigass, overthetop airplane, but you will have to provide your own crew members. And by the way, we aren't the least bit upset that you and Murtha threatened to cut our funding."

Then give her the plane. Just make sure the paint job includes concentric circles and conveniently misplace a crate of surface-to-air missiles.

Looks like X42 rode in spartan planes. Get over it.

Arianna can give you a ride if you don't mind
sharing with B. Hussein Obama.

Or she could hitch a ride with algoron when
he takes A PRIVATE JET and gives his boring lectures.
Hey! I've got it! He can drop her out of A PRIVATE JET

When you are President of the United States, you are entitled to Air Force One.

Not only is it appropriate for Official Business, the aircraft is a symbol of our nation, Aermica's might, our Presidency, and our foreign policy.

The 89th Airlift Wing supports over Distinguished Visitors in a variety of super aircraft.

I flew DV airlift in the C-21 in Europe, which is small LearJet 35. I had Senators, Congressman, Admirals, Generals, etc as passengers. Most of them were wonderful people.

There is an Aircraft (the C-32) that Pelosi coveted. It is in the inventory to support a large contingent of DVs, their staff, and the press on official travel (as is Air Force One and AF 2).

This is the aircraft she lusted after.

What the Pentagon told the Washington Times was that Pelosi wanted exclusive rights and priviledges to this aircraft - essentially taking it out of the inventory for her use, her staff, and her family.

That is unprecendented and violates many regulations and policy statutes.

It was a selfish and power mad move. She tried to itimidate the White House and the Defense Dept into giving her the aircraft one Congressman dubbed Pelois One.

I expect she will go ballistic over this. She wants to be Queen.
