Come on! Pile on more BS please! If Police officers NEVER, EVER, stood in traffic, I could see your point. They do it all the time... it's their job.
You can eat your BS and cry. Check the stats on the causes of death for police killed in the line of duty. Far more are killed on the roadway than killed by criminal violence. And I'm not talking about accicdents while they are driving, I'm talking about sitting in a cruiser or standing in the roadway.
It's nice that people raise money for vests, but we'd save more LEO lives if people paid more attention to officers on the shoulder or in intersections directing traffic.
