Wouldn't it be nice, if we Republicans didn't form a circle and start shooting at each other the minute election season starts?
Naive?
No practical.
Lets unite behind logical debate and get rid of the nastygrams and find a way to get behind a good man who is also a good candidate without smacking each other down.
Lets focus on planning on getting the right man nominated and then having him win.
Thats just me, I could be wrong.

No you are not wrong. The mud slinging on these threads is sickening, and consequently most who otherwise would, do not bother to post. It's pretty bad when FReepers are being turned off.
Debating is what primaries are for. Nothing says we are all going to agree on all the candidates in a primary, nor should we. Vetting candidates is what the primaries are for. Otherwise, we wouldn't have them, and they wouldn't be open for voting.
There is also nothing un-Republican about not supporting ANY candidate in a primary election. They are all Republicans, so supporting one and not the other is no reason to bash a poster. We are not talking about not supporting a Presidential candidate who is "R", it's the PRIMARIES!!! And those of us who want to see a Conservative are proud of that.
