There is NO reason for a NEED for a partial-birth abortion.
I betcha SOMEONE could get him some literature...or set him up with Sen. Dr. Tom Coburn...to tell him that a PB abortion is NEVER necessary for the life of the mother.

He needed to finesse his heretofore unqualified support for partial birth abortion and he and his advisors came up with the "mothers life" exception gambit.
