You'd rather run a hardcore conservative who has no chance in November then a moderate Republican who can win? I understand sticking to your principals, but sometimes that isn't always the most logical course of action. Rudy isn't always right on social issues, but is on record as saying he'll appoint judges in the mold of Alito and Roberts which mitigates that risk in my eyes. We're coming into an imperfect election where there isn't going to be 100% satisfaction with whoever the Republican nominee is, but the one that is quite clear is that if the Dems win, we're all going to lose...conservatives, moderates, etc.
