There's a first time for everything. When was the last time a Republican presidential candidate was this liberal?

There have been some in the past, but the never register on the radar screen. Seems the heart & soul of the GOP is at stake here. From a broad perspective the Democratic Party has moved left to become the Socialist Party of the late 1950's and the GOP is about where the Dems were at that time. The Dems did it progressively over the last 50 years or so, the GOP on the other hand has been in accelerated mode since '95 or so.
