Good morning.
"Apparently he had a very strong genetic influence on his ancestors."

Do you mean descendants?

I don’t think my ancestor would approve of the NRA’s solution to stopping violence in America today.

I think he would approve of it because it's what works. Gun control does not work. Just because you're one of his descendants doesnt mean squat that you know what he would approve of today.

Good afternoon.
"That would make a great tag line"

Coming from the President who suspended Habeas Corpus, it might also be a pretty funny gag line.

I guess whether on not his action was tyranny or not depends how you view his actions.

Ban this, abolish that, war on drugs, war on war, war on poverty, a passionate enough command will by itself bring obedience. Liberalism is about mobilizing a common individual neurosis, the power-seeker impulse, into a collective movement, allowing both real and vicarious gratification on an enormous scale.

It is literally a mental disease.

Interesting response".

Though Habeas Corpus is not a right but rather a "privilege enjoyed by free men" and may be suspended in cases of invasion or, I forget the other provision.

Chief Justice Jay has been overruled on this point. See the Supreme Court's decision in Sparf & Hansen v U.S, 156 United States Reports 51 (1895).

Yes, the date of that decision is 1895, not 1995. The erosion of our rights did not start recently.
