Don't make much of this. In fact, the cracks in the left are worse. The anti-war left is taking control of the Democrats and that does not bode well for them.
Rest assured after the food fight of the primaries, the real political war begins.
I personally think Mitt Romney is positioning himself to runaway with the Republican nomination.
You very well may be right.
can Romney win the general? don't get me wrong, I'm voting for whomever the candidate is. But I don't know, where is Romney going to get votes.
A Hillary/Richardson ticket is going to win hispanics 75/25 (hispanics voted 69/31 Dem in 2006). republicans are generically polling weakly with generation Y, and the Hillary factor amongst young single women in that segment, new voters who will emerge because its "chic" to help elect the first woman president, is going to be an additional pull in that segment.
Why not draft Ollie North?
Everyone enjoys looking back to The Reagan Years these days. Ollie is just about the last man standing from that Era, and for what Reagan valued. Good war record, wonderful turn of phrase that is very quotable, decorated US Marine, great and proven ability for fooling a hostile Congress. Good name recognition...
...on many levels, not a silly idea.
