Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic Ping List:
Please ping me to all note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of interest. This is a partial transcript from "Hannity & Colmes," July 20, 2005...
COLMES: Now, on abortion now, you are pro-choice, right?
GIULIANI: Yes.
COLMES: You're a pro-choice Republican.
GIULIANI: I am.
~snip~
COLMES: Now, Roe vs. Wade -- You are pro-choice. How important is it to you as a pro-choice Republican to have a pro-choice on the court as someone...
GIULIANI: That is not the critical factor. And what's important to me is to have a very intelligent, very honest, very good lawyer on the court. And he fits that category, in the same way Justice Ginsburg fit that category.
I mean, she was she maybe came at it from a very different political background, very qualified lawyer, very smart person. Lots of Republicans supported her. I expect, and listening to Senator Nelson, I expect that John Roberts will get support from a lot of Democrats.
"6.5 out of every 10 Republicans"
I wish she would tell us more about that .5 Republican
Ping.
And this guy is being described as a conservative here on FR by a bunch of liberals dressed as conservatives. Talk about cross dressers!
With hard evidence like this, Rudy can't run from his liberal record on abortion. And he can't fudge it either. The three exceptions rule for abortion is a tolerable compromise an doesn't recognize 95% of abortions as legit. If you support partial birth abortion as Rudy does, you have no resepct for life. Your morals are in the toilet.
FYI.
Not for the father.
Not for the unborn baby.
Pro-choice my a$$.
It is said that Rudy is ready to take on the whole world in response to the deaths of 3,000 Americans in the WTC attack but he not only won't even lift a finger in response to the deaths of 40,000,000 American children - he wants the slaughter to continue unabated. He has even stated that he would willingly pay to have his own grandchild butchered by an abortionist if his daughter couldn't pay for it herself. And he even thinks that your tax money should be used to pay for the unborn children of poor women to be dismembered and sucked into a sink.
Yet, there is a massive propaganda effort occuring to sugar coat Giuliani's extreme liberal views, statements, and policies and Mayor of New York City. But it goes beyond softening his hardcore liberal views. The big lie is being told and told often that Giuliani is a conservative. Which he is NOT, by any sane definition of the word. That propaganda effort is seen in major magazines, newspapers, and right here on Free Republic.
Let there be no confusion. Giuliani is a liberal - one of the most liberal people in the Republican Party - and the MOST LIBERAL REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ever. Would it be easier to ignore his liberal, anti-Republican platform views and support the current frontrunner in the Republican Primary? For some. But what is the RIGHT thing to do? Do you principles mean anything to you? Do the traditional principles of the Republican Party mean anything to you? We're well over a year outside of election day. Any one of the major candidates could be made into the GOP nominee. They just need YOUR support in the form of donations and work. Are we so fearful of a tough election fight with Hillary that we'll put up a candidate whose liberal views do not represent the views of the vast majority of the Republican Party? Do we surrender our conservative values for electoral expedience? And if Rudy is our nominee and he does win the election, what does it profit the Republican Party if we win the election but we lose our soul?
Maybe some people are right and the time isn't right for a hardcore conservative candidate. Fine. Maybe we could go with a moderate more in the mold of our current President. I'm very unhappy with a number of things that President Bush has done, but I would far prefer 4 to 8 more years of that than 4 to 8 years of a liberal like Giuliani. Pick a conservative candidate, or a more moderate candidate if you must. But supporting a liberal like Giuliani is an unconscionable choice for any self-respecting conservative Republican.
Pro-God, pro-life, pro-liberty bump!
Committees Who Gave To This Candidate
GIULIANI, RUDOLPH W
THE CANDIDATE
NEW YORK STATE NARAL INC WOMEN'S HEALTH POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE 04/24/1999 1000.00 99990065875
In 1999, NARAL gave only $250 to Hillary Rodham Clinton and 4 times as much to pro-abortion Giuliani.
Let's look at the other candidates that NARAL NY supports:

That's it. These are the ONLY federal candidates that NARAL NY has ever donated to according to the FEC database. And every single one, except for liberal Rudy Giuliani, is a Democrat. What a stunning endorsement for Giuliani's..ahem..."Republican" views.
Rudy needs to be swift-boated. The sooner the better.
Ping.
Care to offer a defense of Rudy's own words here?
