I think I understand your view - - if one takes a rational look at the history of communism, how could any intelligent person want that?

Truth-be-told, a lot of very intelligent folks believe in communism (or socialism, etc), and I think that Hillary Rodham is among them.

Your thesis is that if she were smarter, she would not be showing her collectivist hand for all to see; and you have a point.

Consider, however, that you and I won't be voting in the Dem primaries. The Dems do that; and the once great Democratic Party has been hijacked by Marxists (and etc) who wield much power and money.

For Hillary to win the primary, she needs to go far enough to the left to assuage the histrionic Marxists; and, I suspect that she (a) sympathizes with them, however (b) would much rather be triangulating both wings against the middle (which is likely now her plan following the primaries).

A few interesting points - -

First, she does seem comfortable, almost herself, when she talks about collectivizing U.S. industry, however,

Second, I'm not sure (given Hillary's mendacious reputation) that the far-left Marxists even believe her collectivist overtures.

Hmm, a bit long-winded. I better stop here.

They believe it, all right. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Well, she's certainly been driven to the left by the rest of the RAT pack, and the RAT primary base is now the far left, but espousing outright collectivization of private businesses is still going to give everyone to her right, meaning about 90% of the general population, real cause for concern. If she was so brilliant, she wouldn't come out with these strategies publicly until she was actually in office, IMHO.

Her speech appeals to women....even women with conservative tendencies. That speech the other day about how she "resents" Bush starting this war and he'd better have all cleaned up for the next president in 2009....it's how women talk to other women.

Listen to the phrasing and the emotional coding....its all about "enlightened sensitive women" against "mean brute males!"
And the women are going for it, even many wives of conservatives who pay lip service but then vote for Dems without telling their husbands("it would just upset him").

Young single women are going to go for Hillary in droves. Mexicans and Islamics will go for Hillary because they know that the Dem's are like corrosive acid upon the strengths our nation was built on. And of course the elderly living on the vapors of FDR!

We conservatives need to become better political suitors than these Democrat roues who seem to have succeeded in speaking the language women want to hear!
