Dehydration is the legal loophole in laws against euthanasia and assisted suicide. The right-to-die movement is writing a murder-by-dehydration clause into all the state laws.

And the reason behind this is very simple. The culture of death knows how disgusted moral people became when they learned how Terri was being slowly murdered. Their hope is that we will eventually throw up our hands and say, "this is inhumane, it is better to just kill these people than to starve adn dehydrate them to death, let's just legalize euthanasia."

And this is what we have to watch against, because this is the normal response of many people. I think they have sought to make the alternative seem so macabre that people will start begging for euthanasia.
