His pastor is obviously one of those new-age whack jobs who supports the sin instead of ministering to the sinner.

The M.E. will probably say whatever he's told to say. But even if he doesn't, Supervising Deputy District Attorney Vic Stull already said "The law only requires that we prove an approximate cause of death." So if somebody killed her because of the injuries caused in the accident, that's close enough.
