NARAL is very concerned about woman's health issues, and invokes Terri again. Does this mean NARAL was concerned about Terri's health? Nope.

Washington, DC -- Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro- Choice America, issued the following statement in response to today's Supreme Court decision in the Federal Abortion Ban cases.

"Today's decision shows Bush's appointees have moved the Court in a direction that could further undermine Roe v. Wade and protections for women's health. The door is now open for politicians like George W. Bush to interfere even more in our personal, private medical decisions. The Court has given anti-choice state lawmakers the green light to open the flood gates and launch additional attacks on safe, legal abortion, without any regard for women's health.

"The bottom line is clear: elections matter. An anti- choice Congress and an anti-choice president pushed this ban all the way to the Supreme Court. In fact, the same politicians behind this abortion ban also block stem-cell research and interfered in the Terri Schiavo case. We need to elect more pro-choice members of Congress and a president who will stand up for-not attack-our fundamental values of freedom and privacy.

Supreme Court Decision Marks Setback for Women's Health and Privacy

Argggghhhhh....Don't any of the libs see the irony in their babbling? Another source cites woman's health as key and then uses the killing of Terri as a related source! Somehow they must fantasize that Judge Greer's court kept the health of Terri paramount.

The recent Supreme Court ruling regarding a woman's right to choose whether or not to become a mother or to continue a pregnancy if problems develop demeans women ("Court clips abortion rights," April 19).

The ruling takes away the inherent right of a woman to make decisions about her body. The fetus has more rights than the female who carries it. It inserts a politician between patient and doctor. One recalls the Terri Schiavo case. The decision prohibits doctors from giving advice on the best health interests of both the woman and the fetus and from acting on that advice. Thus, the medical profession loses influence and freedom also.

Court puts politics above women's health

>> our fundamental values of freedom and privacy.

Those aren't values to the Left. Those are murder licenses. "Freedom" is the freedom to do evil without getting into trouble, "privacy" is the screen you hide behind to do it. The tortuous law used to kill Terri Schiavo derives from the same "liberty" and "privacy" rights that created Roe v. Wade. It's always about killing with impunity.
