I have an announcement for all lurking trolls.

http://www.sdcitybeat.com/article.php?id=5405&atype=
*ACLU WORKSHOPS at the California Western School of Law, 350 Cedar St., Downtown, 619-515-1589. From 3-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, join the American Civil Liberties Union of San Diego & Imperial Counties for its first-ever membership conference which includes four workshops on the death penalty, immigrant rights, presidential abuse of power and reproductive and end-of-life rights.

Don't miss this meeting. The ACLU will bring you up to date on the latest techniques for trolling pro-life sites such as Free Republic. They'll teach you all the latest code words for euthanasia and abortion. They'll give you tips on how to point out the hypocracy of killing mass murderers while allowing innocent (though inconvenient or useless) people to live. They'll provide you with convincing arguments for spending our tax dollars on criminals from other countries, instead of squandering all that money on our most vulnerable citizens. They'll show you how upholding our Constitution is an abuse of presidential power, and how certain judges should have the power to order the executions of useless eaters. They'll explain our Constitutional right to kill babies and other useless eaters, and show that imagined right to life is nothing more than a myth. They'll explain to you how wrong all the scientists are in claiming that human offspring is human, and not some lifeless blob.

All this, and more! Come one. Come all.

You do not want to miss this seminar. It will provide you with enough material to keep on trolling for months and years to come.

You'll get a kick out of this.

Shakespeare called it "self-slaughter". Oregon bureaucrats call it "participation in the Death with Dignity Act".

~snip~

...the official euphemisms used by the Oregon government to stave off lawsuits and keep voters happy would have " George Orwell rotating longtidudinally in his subterranean post-life enclosure".

G. K. Chesterton, discussing the liberal freaks of his time, spoofingly suggested "free death." Obviously there were plenty of George Felos types around a century ago, and dear little England has always had far more than its share of them.

That is the site I found, too. Was quite surprised at the change over from the time I read her book. Turns out it was 1991 or so, I suppose.

Carrie K. Hutchens has more. This time she compares the treatment of the Anna Nicole Smith disaster.

I draw my own comparison between Mikey and Howard K. Sperm but keep it to myself for now.

..............................

Amazing how the news media has glorified the tragedy of Anna Nicole Smith's life and death, while painting Terri Schiavo's life as a mere tragedy requiring her extermination, and demanding that we simply let her go.

How dare we keep her memory alive and suggest she didn't deserve what life dealt her? How dare we suggest that there are questions left unanswered? How dare we suggest that the media not only failed to report the Schiavo case in a fair and truthful manner -- but that -- it continues to throw the distortions and untruths out there to justify what cannot be rightfully justified?

How come?

What's up?

What's behind the media pushing to justify an innocent woman being put to death in a slow, hideous manner of torture that took 13 days to accomplish, while so worried about the 34 minute pain and suffering "possibility" of a convicted murderer?

What's behind the media giving sympathy to Anna Nicole, but not Theresa Marie?

What makes the media want to solve the mystery of Anna Nicole's moments leading up to her collapse, but not the ones leading up to Theresa Marie's?

Maybe Theresa Marie's bank account wasn't quite that of Anna Nicole's, but she was worth at least a million and still breathing on her own (and doing quite well) before someone decided she wasn't worth keeping around and set out to have the court put her to death.

The media didn't think that quite odd?

There are quite a few things that the media ought to know , and hasn't gone after the story and given us the truth.

Why is that?

I feel like I am in a Hitler's world where the media is trying to tell me what I am supposed to be believing in spite of any proof otherwise.

I'm sorry that Anna Nicole had such a tragic life, but one thing that is true -- she was not slowly killed at the hands of the judicial system, society and her husband, while the media supported and encouraged it all -- Theresa Marie (Terri Schiavo) was!

Anna Nichole Wasn't

Where have all the dollars gone, long time passing...

Meanwhile, back at DSS...

Rebecca Riley's death keeps the heat on a DSS trying to forget Haleigh Poutre, and it is gratifying to see DSS still on the frying pan. But it still looks like they are trying the old "throw-the-money-at-it" trick.

Simply put, if a problem, like our education system is failing, throw it more money. If, when that happens, the system grows even worse, well just throw MORE money at it. And if it still gets worse, throw even MORE money at it, and so on until it is smothered in doller bills and all the dollars are gone.

As in so many high-profile cases, the recent death of 4-year-old Rebecca Riley, and the Department of Social Service’s response to it, reveals broader system failures that must be addressed if future tragedies are to be prevented.

Rebecca’s father, Michael Riley, may or may not be found guilty of deliberately poisoning his child. But, it’s clear that lack of genuine health care teamwork — especially effective oversight of complex medication regimens — put this child, and many others, at risk.

These problems will not be solved by adding one more physician to the DSS payroll or appointing a panel of medical experts who will be available to consult with social workers who are now asked to supervise highly toxic medications..................

Lack of teamwork, communication putting vulnerable children at risk

In hopes of a Royal flush...

I had never looked at Sarkozy in the past as being all that different, but compared to commie pinko Royal, he is wonderful. Sometimes it looks as if the rising tide of death culture is floating all boats.

Thread by wagglebee...

PARIS, February 20, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Socialist Party candidate seeking to replace Jacques Chirac as President of France in the upcoming April election has promised to legalize euthanasia. Speaking on prime-time television last night, Ségolène Royal said, "It is time to launch a public debate on this question. I would seek legislation which would allow people to face up with dignity to the most intense suffering."

Royal is running ten points behind the frontrunner for the presidency, Nicholas Sarkozy of the centre-right Union for a Popular Movement. The race has been described as a battle for the soul of France as the two leaders are diametrically opposed on matters of life and family.

The media think what their template tells them to think, no more. Which is to say, hardly any of them ever think at all.

You raise good questions. Those screaming in a frenzy for compassion for a sadistic killer were okay with the horrific way of killing Terri. And the treatment of Terri's parents by Michael by itself revealed he is a sociopath. I read of the murder of Jeannie Mills, her husband, and their young daughter in 1980 was reopened in 2005. While it did not lead to charges that time, the suspect was arrested and knows charged might yet follow. This might happened to Michael also.

Why, yes. Now think, ladies. A system failure means you are using the wrong system. If you put more money into the wrong system, things get worse. It's like trying to heat your house with refrigerators.

We hear these questions on Free Republic daily from people who claim to be conservatives (and ironically, many of these same "conservatives" can't seem to get enough of Anna Nicole Smith).

These days many of the visitors are busy trying to explain why conservatives should support the candidacy of a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage, gun grabbing, thrice married (once to his cousin) adulterer.

>> I read of the murder of Jeannie Mills...

I'm just finishing We the Jury about the Scott Peterson trial, mostly as seen by the jurors. Seven members of the jury took part in the writing, under the guidance of a couple of professionals. I don't really care about the jury members, so to me, this approach is not nearly as satisfactory as telling the criminal case straightforwardly. Nevertheless, it does show Scott Peterson's utterly sociopathic personality (which is why I got the book), and it IS good to get the individual jurors' occasional comments about that. Lots of similarities with Michael Schiavo. Both were self-centered and extremely manipulative, neither has an ounce of conscience, both killed without pity. Peterson was the more skillful planner, Schiavo is much the meaner person.

Later on, perhaps we should do book reviews on all of the Terri (and related) literature, to help show what the story really is about. Nobody will guess the truth from the media.
