We have missed Floriduh voter for quite awhile now and it just hasn't been the same. Well, she is back, as you can see by the post above this.
That makes my day!

Here he is, capturing his pensive look as he ponders T'wit's comments and composes his own. It looks like he is searching for a couple of relatives that Michael had something to do with : )

It was two years ago. How could any of us imagine a court would collude with a sinister figure to allow him to stop all food and water to his healthy and innocent wife? With thanks to the courts and the media, this unimaginable act of barbarism was swallowed by the world, a bitter pill, perhaps, but swallowed nevertheless. As we find, though, the outrage runs deep and wide as people realize this vile act for what it is, and learn lessons before we are engulfed in a culture where such is even more routine than we could imagine.
In 2005, doctors removed the feeding tube keeping Terri Schiavo alive after an wide-ranging fight over the brain-damaged Florida woman`s care that involved U.S. President Bush and Congress.

And in irony, on this dark anniversary, as reported yesterday, a family in Florida is suing their West Palm Beach facility for not snuffing grandma fast enough. They are mad and will not take it anymore, and want plenty of money for their suffering, too.
The court findings are lauded by Dr. Goodman (little irony in the name), the bioethicist.
WEST PALM BEACH - Linda Scheible said she wanted her grandmother's "unnecessary suffering" to send a message to nursing homes everywhere. And a Palm Beach County jury's verdict Friday afforded her the opportunity, she said, to let those caring for the elderly and infirm know that "they need to pay attention to patients' end-of-life directives and wishes."
Living will not honored, jury finds

I am just whelmed! Thread by wagglebee on ironies oozing from the UN.
The U.N. Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) this week refused to pass a U.S.-introduced resolution condemning female infanticide and sex selective abortions. As a consolation, it was agreed to add a condemnation in the main document to be released by the Commission. Yet on the last day, the Chairman weakened the condemnation and other countries agreed, resulting in downplaying the most egregious form of discrimination and violence against girls.
Incredibly, this year's theme for International Women's Day (which is celebrated during the Commission's annual meeting) was Ending Impunity for Violence Against Women. CWA wrote a paper that was distributed to the U.N. delegates pointing out that "the CSW has never denounced sex selective abortion or female infanticide.
If the U.N. body tasked with monitoring and promoting the status of women and girls downplays this violence
The world will rightfully question the credibility of the Commission on the Status of Women."

...keeping Terri alive... Is there anyone on earth who doesn't "keep alive" by ingesting food and liquid? Of course not. So why was Terri singled out for death? Money. Her killer and his lawyer hurried to court three hours after she died in order to claim her estate. You'd think, out of respect, he might have pretended to grieve for, like, the whole day? -- and like, y'know, put on black chinos and Godfather glasses or something?
He could even have waited till the next day to grab the dough. But I guess he wanted to make a statement.

Ping again to the thread by Eternal Vigilance. It has evolved into a substantial and heated dialog bringing to light many details regarding the role of Michael in the event that damaged Terri so much. The posts by T'wit and bjs1779 are noteworthy, and this most recent from extracted from T'wit's post...
Michael and his lawyers, with Judge Greer's ever-obliging consent, raided Terri's therapy award trust fund -- trust fund! -- for half a million dollars worth of legal help to put her to death. Michael stood to inherit anything left. He said there was nothing left but literally ran to court to claim it three hours after Terri died. It was like a bounty hunter collecting a big reward for a big kill.
So we wonder anew: what happened to Terri in the first place? How did she go from asleep in bed to dying on the hallway floor right after her husband came home late one Saturday night? Dr. Thogmartin's conclusion that it wasn't bulimia took away Michael's only alibi. There is no innocent explanation of her injuries. There is no other suspect but Michael Schiavo.

I know a building on the East River that should be turned into condos. Of course it would first have to be painstakingly, inch-by-inch, cleaned, decontaminated and exorcised.

Why do I get a hunch that a lot of grandma's suffering was in the person of a greedy, dishonest granddaughter?

That would take a strong priest.
Wasn't the UN grounds once seated at the site of Lucifer (Later Lucis) Trust on 666 UN Plaza?
As I recall Alice Bailey established it as a place to publish her and Madame Blavatsky's Theosophy and New Age drivel. I recall coming across this info in a book by Constance Cumbey, "The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow", while volunteering long ago for Fr. Paul Marx at HLI.
Interesting coincidence, no?
