you are right, but the moderate, compromising, out of control spending Republicans cause that to happen.

I voted for Bush Senior because I kept thinking "Clarence Thomas", and I dreaded Clinton winning. Unfortunately many others didn't. And unfortunately it will happen again if we pick a liberal Republican.

There is always plenty on FR threatening to break off, but most don't.

I will stay with the GOP until they move away from their overall conservative principles.

To repeat that famous wise freepers statement:
