"That is not a hair question."
"That is also not a hair question."
These guys are kind of funny.
Carolyn
Hell, give them a TV series.
Really so, very easy actually. Just because you have a problem with it does not make it Not!
The MA State Troopers showed these signs up close on the local affiliate. The batteries were taped over with black electrical tape with wires hanging out of them. Some were fixed to bridges and highway overhangs. You guys can mock the the local police and security officals all you want but they erred on the sign of caution.
I frankly don't care how Boston is viewed. You can think these two nitwit potheads are the greatest thing since slice bread. I'll view them for who they are, moron high school dropouts, more concerned with their own noteriety than anything else.
"You said it best. There was plenty of blame to go around but what do you think would have happened if these things were planted at the Super Bowl..."
But they weren't. Neither were they place on airliners, on nuclear facilities, or on fast-moving trucks driven by swarthy men screaming about how some guy named allahu is fubar.
Sorry, guys; not everything is related to 9/11 or politics.
It was a simple marketing thing. 5 brain cells to rub together should have sufficed for Boston officials to ascertain that this was not a threat -- the other cities where these things were placed didn't go into hysterics.
ATHF is a cartoon. A low-brow, funny cartoon, nothing more. By the day Boston's officials seem determined to prove that they fit the same classification.
I'm all for a richly-deserved skewering, but IMO the press is not only sensationalist but complicit -- and the State is not hysterical but terrorist. The State incites and encourages fear, and then holds itself out to the terrorised public as their only hope. It's all about power. It's not that complicated.
Kids, they are 27 and 28, I think you are insane to think that people that age are kids.
"But they weren't. Neither were they place on airliners, on nuclear facilities, or on fast-moving trucks driven by swarthy men screaming about how some guy named allahu is fubar."
Ah, yeah but they were on bridges and highway overpasses.
Ok, feel free to inform me of what you did to turn a light bright in to a little bomb.
You can freepmail me in case you don't want the secret to get out to Al Queda.
I say NOT because I believe you are full of crap!
Best post of this thread. It deserved to be repeated in BOLD.
I knew I could count on Howie Carr to set the record straight: http://news.bostonherald.com/columnists/view.bg?articleid=180462
No need for freepmail, i loaded it up with gunpowder and blew it up. Therefor it was a bomb.
Anything can be made into a bomb all you need is explosives.
Now you have stepped over the line.
Beerfest could be one of the greatest movies ever.
I know you will say its some french movie about homosexuals romping naked in Cannes, but its not.
If you have not seen Beerfest, I suggest you watch it and then you can talk.
Otherwise, go to Sundance and bring your Astroglide!
Littering at best? You have got to be kidding.

Ah, sometimes it's about something that looks like a bomb that's affixed to a bridge. The police invesitigate and the press reports it. No, it isn't complicated.
And you expect rational people to discuss this with you rationally..... umm ok.
Color me surprised.
Yes, I'm being sarcastic.
Your the one who strung this out. I was making a simple example that anything can be a bomb. It is very simple.
um .... And your Rational?
I said these morons probably made $20 on this. I stand corrected - they made $300.00. Thats gonna buy a lotta dope.
Climb down off your literally-minded high horse. My reference was to their relative youth and irreverence and the stuffy self-regarding seriousness of the press.
