It wasn't these two guys who ties up traffic, it was the Boston PD.

Not as big of morons as the "public officials" that mistook a lite brite for an bomb. Light-up bombs sound like something you'd expect from the Joker in a Batman comic book, not from a real terrorist.

I see that you joined after Y2K. You sure missed a year's worth of great threads about concentration camps, UN death squads, contrails, foreign troops massing in the US, etc.....After reading these threads, I believe you.

Yup no one in Boston is laughing, but as this story gets more air time and people see and understand what went on many people will be laughing AT Boston.
I will say this, yet again El Paso too square and un hip to get AQUAed.
Having said that I don't stay up and watch any Adult Swim 'toons, but even the adds seem pretty raw sometimes.

The funniest part is the various news shows putting these gizmos on camera with the three little lights representing the upraised middle finger blacked out.

Remember how Bill Clinton was going to refuse to leave office, declare martial law, and declare himself King BJ???When these folks wandered out of their bunkers on January 2nd, did anyone ever admit they were mistaken?
Or have they carried on unperturbed, merrily offering their sage predictions ever since?

OMG!!!!!!A BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!
SOMEONE CALL THE BOSTON PD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To: Smogger
No i will spout off as i like. And i have made little bombs out of litebrites when i was a kid, so therefor a bomb can be anything. Once the cops blew the first one and realized it was not a bomb they called it a hoax and retracted all they had done.

There may be a few, but many of those posters have wandered off, they followed the notorious Michael Rivero among others to blogs and forums unknown to me.
The tin foil was fairly scarce around FR for a little while, but alas, we are now surrounded by those who see terror everywhere.
I love (must I note the sarcasm?) the ones among us begging to give the government more of our freedom for their security.

Once the cops blew the first one and realized it was not a bomb they called it a hoax and retracted all they had done. They mis-named these billboards as hoaxes to justify their actions and the resulting persecution of the marketers.
I would have been FAR more impressed had the police simply apologized to all involved and asked that the remaining ads be taken down.

OK let me see. The left over neon signs will go for about $50,000 apiece on E-Bay. The publicity for the cartoons will generate $Millions in ad revenue. The two guys who do the hair routine will be rich before this is over, making appearances on the likes of Rosie and Good Morning America, the mayor of Boston will be widely known and probably get elected to Congress..... So if Turner pays the $750,000 cost and fines we can all be happy and go on with life....

What does Turner have to do with this??? They gave an advertising contract to a rinky-dink firm. it was their call.

Boston has a history of mocking corrupt, inefficient, staid authority. These two weren't dressed as Indians and didn't cause any deliberate property damage, but the spirit is the same: shooting a bird at the diseased organs of power who would trample over them for the high crime of embarrassing the state.
Besides, I bet they know a lot about hair. The media types present were just wasting their time by harping on a subject the lawyer said was off-limits, when they had two willing hairologists to discuss hair with.
