Reply Mail from the National Park Service

Dear Sir:

I forwarded your E-mail attachment to the National Park Service employee and U.S. Park Police Sergeant who will be meeting with applicants for a public gathering permit for a large march/demonstration on 17 MAR 07. At this time, it is accurate to state that the National Park Service has issued no permit for any event starting at the Wall of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, on that date. As I mentioned on the telephone, there are special regulations, found at Title 36, United States Code of Federal Regulations, Section 7.97, which protect core Vietnam Veterans Memorial areas and resources from such activities.

As my Supervisor directed, I have requested the National Park Service employee responsible for reviewing any public gathering permit application, as described above, to respond to the concerns you expressed on the telephone this morning, via E-mail. Thank you for your time.

In other words the website is lying they have not yet gotten a permit, now is the time to fight with the pen we must get this information out asap....people need to clog their Congressmen and Senators and the National Park Service with E-mails and phone calls! They can't be allowed to be anywhere near any Memorial! Thats what the streets are for the gutter and the garbage. Please forward this far and wide! Also this doesn't mean we shouldn't get as many Vietnam Veterans as possible to DC I remember another time long ago when WE needed America to support us and they didn't....we need to support our troops and their mission! Constitution Gardens is the green space next to the Wall. Park Service does give permits for that area, but I think they take into consideration the size of a group when deciding whether to issue a permit. If the leftists have 35k people at their March 17th rally, the people will spill over into the Wall area, as will the noise from the usually huge sound system that cANSWER will have. In fact, the noise from their sound system and their throngs of America-hating speakers will likely spill over to the WWII and Korean War Memorials, as well.

cANSWER always gets permits for whatever they ask for. cANSWER has taken to "blanket permitting" all of downtown DC public spaces, to keep any counter protesters from getting a location near them. (Yes, this is the same thing that the leftists whined about for the 2005 Inaugural; that the Inaugural Committee had gotten all of DC and there was no place for "the people" to dissent)

cANSWER has a bunch of commie (yes, they are self admitted communists) lawyers who will make demands, who will declare that their rights are being violated, who will threaten lawsuits, in order to get that park space. And sadly, they will more than likely get it; respect for the names of the dead on the Wall be damned. The leftists are louder now than they have been in awhile. They know that the Wall is sacred ground to most Americans. This is their act of disrespect and hate towards our soldiers past and present, and towards our country.

It is probably a good idea to continue to spread the word among veterans about March 17th. cANSWER usually gets what they want in DC.
