John Stossel also is involved with teaching economics to children (thank God).

Here is his website:

BTW, even dumb-ass Louisiana legislators are now leaniing toward vouchers - and this includes staunch black former opponents. They have witnessed both the incredibly mis-managed Orleans system and its state-run replacement.

A slew of charter schools have come on line since Katrina and people are choosing them in droves; there was always a large Catholic system (108 schools with 48,000 in the Archdiocese of N.O.). Choice is a wonderful for kids if they make it past the first choice of a mother that wants them.

If you want your kid educated you don't send them to public school, other than an absolute last resort.

Their school would have been a back-to-basics academy for grades K through five, designed to attack Topeka's 23-point gap between the reading proficiency of black and Hispanic third-graders and that of whites.

This to me is the most damming evidence of why public schools are NOT about education. They are only about the indoctrination of children. Here this school board turned down two black educators who wanted to help and they turned them down.

Why isn't this school board being called to task for being the racists they are? One would think they WANT the black and hispanic parents to have children who fail to do well in life.

Totally disgusting!
