I really don't see where they looked like bombs but a bomb could look like anything I guess..... Don't you need to get permits to place these signs? If they had done so then this wouldn't be a big deal. I think there has to be more to this story.... All I know is I would be really mad about being late for work. After looking on Youtube, I saw a difference then what I saw on the news. I think it was a media stunt that should have got permits. If there was a 911 call and its linked to these people then yes they should pay. I really think Turner ought to pay in any case. He got all this media attention and he can easily afford to pay for what this cost the city and state. The whole thing is silly. I can't stand Turner or his wife, Jane Fonda at all so personally I hope they have to pay. ...Seems to me you can't just go around hanging blinking signs wherever you want to. Permission should have been asked. How would you like one placed on your business? I wouldn't have.... Why should the taxpayer pay this bill?..... You aren't supposed to place signs on telephone posts where I live. They will give you 2 days for a garage sale sign, then the cops come to your house and ask you to get it down. If you don't you get a fine in the mail. I think its like littering. I hate seeing weeks old signs all over. You want to put a garage sale sign up fine but at least take it down when its over.

Agreed...btw am not sure Ted Turner himself is still part of the network/company even if it bears his name (left,
didn't he?)
