He might be able to use the trade issue if he doesn't go overboard with what he would do to "tweak" it a little. He has a good point with China. Not only is fair trade one-sided with them, but we are also building up a potential future adversary.

Yes, there is a point to be made there if done correctly without going overboard. Calling for talks to open up China's markets to a more balanced trade would be good.
