Blurring the traditional lines of partisanship, conservative Mike Huckabee launched his bid for the Republican presidential nomination with a swipe at President Bush and a friendly nod to fellow Arkansan Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The former Arkansas governor assigned Bush some of the blame for failing to deliver on a 2000 campaign promise to be a uniter, not a divider and ease polarization in Washington.

People overwhelmingly support the war. The problem is that the GOP has done a horrible job in defending it, and has let the MSM/Dims define them, causing RINOs like Hagel, Brownback, and Huckabee to have second thoughts. That's partly why the GOP lost the mid-terms.
Voters hate weakness in elected officials. Huckabee is your typical finger in the wind politician. Criticizing Bush may win him more guest-shots on the Sunday morning talk shows and fawning NY Times coverage, but it'll turn off conservatives.
For anyone that needs any further convincing that the Huckster is just another RINO in an increasingly RINO dominated party, please review the following. Support a real conservative in 2008, elect Duncan Hunter. - OB1

Liberal media projection. That's all this is.
Really?
He just took out a loan on a 7,000 sq foot mansion, so I guess he's got to pay for it somehow since he doesn't have a job anymore.

See Alan Keyes for pointers.
I agree with everything you wrote, except "People overwhelmingly support the war." The support for the war is low, largely because of a lack of confidence in Dubya's leadership and decision-making in the execution of the war. I don't think there is overwhelming support for the war in Iraq right now.
Pray tell, why?
How could I have forgotten! They are about "due" to replenish their funds, aren't they?
He's not living in the trailer anymore?
What is it with these people and their HUGE houses????
huckleberry, brokeback and bagel, the three louseketeers!
Well, I wasn't that keen on Huckabee anyway. Now I know why.
You have to admit he is pretty funny. I think he and Cobert are independents as they have stated and will make fun of both parties.
Damn, Huckabee seems to be trying to run to the left of Chuck Hagel. I didn't know there was such a place.
clinton & clinton, wallmart.... etc
They aren't real smart when they start an exploratory committe and bash bush the next day. and go peacenik at the same timeeee. brownback did it too. it's a shame.
Tough bananas. it's two years away and if they can't make the base happy to hell with them. Might as well have real democrats as phony pubs.
Of course not. They've been stupid all along.
If a majority is taking a poor course of action, it's incumbent on us to convince them we are right. Indeed, if they are stupid, it should be easy to convince them, right?
Not at all, especially when there are competing parties attempting to convince the same stupid populace to go a different way. And particularly when the other side is free to lie & tell people whatever they want to hear ('free' money for health care, etc.).
