My feelings for SF fruits, hippies, loons, and fist-raising Communists is as follows: the day I turn on the TV and hear of a 10.0 hitting the Bay Area is the day I call out sick and break out every bottle of MacAllan in giddy celebration.

I don't think you'll be in purgatory for that. God HATES EVIL, and it is HE who would send that judgment.

To Praise the Lord and His Might when He puts evil in their place is something worth celebrating.
