Air Force Staff Sgt. Tassi McKee, 26, an intelligence specialist at Fort Meade, Md., said she joined the Air Force because of patriotism, travel and money for college. "After we went to Iraq, I began to see through the lies," she said.

SSgt. McKee has obviously been in the Air Force for more than 6 years (before 9/11). Sounds like she is just bitter that she got deployed to a combat zone.

Sgt. McKee might want to be very worried about her comments being published. Military and senate officials might be coming to ask her about those "lies." If she's spoken falsely, she might be losing some of those benefits she was greedy enough to enlist for. Wouldn't that be a shame?

I was wondering about that, myself. You'll notice that her quote says, "After WE went to Iraq..." I wonder if she has ever been deployed. The article doesn't mention any claims by her to have deployed. It's just a hunch, but I'm thinkin' she never deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan.
